Body-Wise Therapeutics and Body-Wise therapeutics professionals belong to a variety of professional organizations. They represent support to our practice in a wide variety of therapies. They provide education, business building support, networking with other professionals, legislative advocacy and supply therapists with the ability to have health and liability insurance. We belong to more than one because each has it’s own unique offerings  to the practice and practitioners that encourage and support us to be the best therapists for our clientele.

ABMP…The Association of Bodywork and massage Professionals serves the massage therapy community through practice support, ethical standards, legislative advocacy, and public education.

AMTA…The mission of the American Massage Therapy Association is to serve AMTA members while advancing the art, science and practice of massage therapy.

Global Facial Reflexology Network.….has the objective of keeping  its members informed of what is new in every professional aspect.

NCBTMB…is an independent, private, nonprofit organization that was founded in 1992 to establish a certification program and uphold a national standard of excellence. Today, there are more than 90,000 nationally certified massage therapists and body-workers safely and competently serving millions of Americans each year. In order to obtain your Rhode Island State license you must be hold NCBTMB certification. To become nationally certified, a practitioner must complete a minimum of 500 hours of instruction; demonstrate mastery of core skills, abilities and knowledge, pass a standardized NCBTMB exam and uphold NCBTMB’s standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
